During 2016 The South African National Paintball Association (SANPA), in conjunction with the AFPBF and the SARPL, our national speedball league, will be sending both a U19 as well as a SA representative team to compete in the Paintball World Cup 2016 event in Europe.

2016 player criteria will be as follow:

  2. Players must complete a SANPA personal skills assessment at a SANPA approved speedball field.
  3. Players must be a registered 2016 season player of the SARPL. Season fees include SANPA membership

A selection board will be put together which will include SANPA staff, SA team coaches, SANPA head-ref as well as any key person(s) who is deemed necessary for the selection board in assisting with a fair and professional selection process.

The selection board will take a players skill level/experience (SARPL ranking), SANPA personal skills assessment for 2016 as well as how the player functions together in the team observed during SARPL events (scouting) and invitational try-outs into consideration when deciding on the final list of candidates for the respective teams.

Dedication to the sport and professional sportsmanship and player conduct will also be key factors in making a final decision, as a player will be an ambassador for the sport and our country.
